Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply forecasting principles as they apply to demand planning and its effects on inventory levels and purchasing.  Maintain SKU level forecasts by channel.
  • Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets).
  • Create a seasonal OTB based on historical sales, merchandise direction, market trend and brand objectives. For each season validate the channel roll-up of sales and validate style / fit / category productivity metrics to drive alignment to company goals.
  • Manage inventory targets for core and carryover product (including safety stock levels), ensuring proper inventory levels.
  • Conduct forecasting analysis and make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
  • Build, run and maintain company-wide inventory reports, reflecting current and future inventory positioning in full price, off price, retail and e-comm channels.
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandising, and Production to align on inventory production volume and timing for finished goods and fabric.  Communicate all inventory purchase needs to Production in line with deadlines.
  • Contribute to Ad Hoc projects which may include demand analysis, providing forecasts, historical data, and building summaries as needed.
  • Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. Make recommendations to enhance current processes.
