Responsibilities:

 

  • Records daily business transactions, keys daily transactions to Mas90
  • Reconciles credit card sales and prepares monthly credit card sales entry
  • Manages AR: collections, cash receipts posting, invoice matching, and chargeback reconciliations with major a/c’s including high end retailers like Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Saks, etc.
  • Responsible for chargeback reconciliations – returns and allowances, shortages, commissions, salary support, rewards, promotions and all EDI related chargebacks
  • Researches, tracks, and resolves accounting issues as they arise
  • Processes credit card payments for Specialty accounts
  • Prepares bank reconciliations
  • Calculates monthly sales promotion contests for Product Specialists by retailer 
  • Manages the corporate credit card accounts
  • Responsibilities as the direct point of contact for the processing all AR/AP invoices

Requirements:

  • 2 - 4 years of Accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Experience with a beauty brand, or wholesaler to department stores, or luxury industry is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise with basic accounting procedures and bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Excellent accounting skills, financial analysis, an aptitude for numbers, and business acumen
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills are a must
  • Technically savvy, including competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software (Mas90 a plus).
  • Skilled at successfully prioritizing and managing multiple projects, while working as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment while being adaptable to change and a willingness to take on new challenges/opportunities
