Title: Sales Account Manager

Location: New York, New York

Some essential functions include:

  • Plan annual sales targets, new launches, forecast and activation opportunities
  • Define and execute brand growth strategies for accounts and contributing to annual business plan
  • Analyze sales targets and performance to develop a clear business plan for strategic accounts
  • Manage and negotiate with accounts on calendars, projections, allocations, orders, promotional dates, etc.
  • Drive Sell-In of new launches and continually analyze performance and make recommendations to improve retail sales
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Design, Sales & Education, Operations and Finance Teams to ensure new launches and activations are progressing timely
  • Lead entire sales cycle from lead generation to order delivery and payment
  • Identify and research valuable emerging markets in designated territories and develop competitive and innovative sales strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
  • Collaborate with our internal and external partners, such as Sephora, on training and education activations and initiatives


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional sales management/business development experience at a leading beauty/skincare company
  • Must have experience with Sephora overseeing U.S. accounts
  • Must have experience working with executive level leaders, internally and externally
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have superb organization, time management and project management skills
  • Must be able to thrive and excel in an entrepreneurial, start-up type environment that includes meeting tight deadlines and short turn-around times
  • Solid prospecting skills and superior closing skills are required
  • A strong sense of urgency and ability to manage competing priorities are required
  • A track record of displaying a solid sense of ownership, leadership and accountability are absolute musts for this role
  • Must be able to travel (with overnights) to markets as needed
  • Must be results driven and detail oriented while retaining big picture focus
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint
