Job description:

The Product Development Team is looking for a creative, and inspired leader to join the team.  As a Product Developer the candidate’s responsibility will be to ensure the product is built with integrity, intention and aligned with our brand vision and values.

The ideal candidate will have an apparel education and technical knowledge in product construction and textiles. As a product developer you will be able to present innovative product ideas and solutions to meet the needs of our consumers.

The ideal candidate will work closely and collaboratively with Design, RM R&D, PD, Tech and Production team to create beautiful and innovative product.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the product creation process from design hand off to production
  • Establish and execute the brand strategy for the apparel product to achieve financial and product integrity goals
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams from Design, Tech Design, R+D, and Production to ensure on time sample delivery per set calendar.
  • Create and manage multi-season development calendars and lead the execution for all tasks related to the Product Development cycle
  • Present recommendations to improve, course correct and capitalize on opportunities to strategy
  • Analyze and negotiate cost of garments
  • Allocate seasonal vendor structure
  • Update and maintain BOM’s in PLM system
  • Accountable for timely adherence calendar dates
  • Attend fit sessions, review lab dips and print strike offs
  • Maintain Seasonal Line Guide Information (setup and changes) with Marketing
  • Attend fabric/trim appointments, and seminars as needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in the apparel industry, ideally in athletic apparel
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency
  • Commitment and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build trust and relationships with vendor & company staff
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of testing protocol, product integrity requirements, product cycle timeline and garment construction
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Proficiency with PLM and Adobe Suite- Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
