Title: Senior Manager/Director, Paid Acquisition/Search

The Senior Manager or Director, Paid Acquisition/Search is responsible for driving new customer acquisition and revenue for the company through paid search efforts and will be a critical part of the Paid Acquisition team’s success and growth. He or she will have hands-on experience directly overseeing and managing paid PPC campaigns through Google and other search engines while also assisting the VP of Acquisition with progressing the strategic direction of the team and function. This person will have a deep interest and background in paid media analytics and data, while also having a functional understanding of the paid search landscape. This role will work closely with their immediate Paid Acquisition team members and report directly into the VP of Acquisition.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic and operational vision of brand's paid search practice (including text ads and PLA/Google Shopping), with the goal of driving high-value customer acquisition and incremental existing customer value

• Effectively hire, motivate, empower and direct agencies and in-house talent to make the most informed and effective decisions in media management

• Accountable for all facets of hands-on, day-to-day campaign activities, such as bid management, feed management, performance monitoring,segmentation, keyword building, ad copy writing and testing, etc.

• Develop the definitions and strategy of the channel’s KPIs, focusing on CAC:LTV values, ROAS and other metrics at a granular level

• Drive direction for daily, weekly and ongoing reporting for team and cross-functional use and visibility of contribution to company goals

• Stay on top of industry trends and technological changes within the ad tech ecosystem, especially as it relates to Search Engines

• Collaborate with Merch, E-commerce and other cross-functional teams to prioritize respective designer and merchandise attributes of focus and value

• Collaborate with Digital Product team to optimize landing page and funnel experiences to wholly impact the channel’s CVR and conversion output

• Work with VP of Acquisition to effectively manage monthly channel budgets, forecasts and performance planning

• Assist with strategy and tactical collaboration across other Paid Digital channels, such as Paid Social, Affiliates, Display

• Develop monthly recaps of channel performance as well as key strategic campaigns to best inform leadership and cross-functional teams on learnings and progress of team’s efforts

• Collaborate with Editorial team to create appropriate ad copy

• Thoughtfully lead all forms testing within channel, including copy, landing pages, targeting, segmentation, while thoroughly documenting learnings in a useful and organized way

Qualifications:

• 3-4+ years paid search/PPC experience; from a large volume and accelerated growth business 

• 5-8+ years of professional experience, with a focus on data analytics and/or consulting

• Strong relationship management skills

• Experience within other channels such as Paid Social, Paid Search, Affiliate Marketing, Display or Direct Mail a plus

• Experience with international media and expansion is a plus

• Fluent in ad operations (ad servers, pixel management)

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
