Merchandise Planner, Fashion Apparel and Accessories (New York City) - Create weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual plans and forecasts for sales, inventory and gross margin for retail and ecommerce apparel businesses. Ensure alignment of financial and merchandising plans and strategies. Create reports and analyses to track performance by department, class and subclass. Develop actionable strategies to drive sales and achieve sales and gross margin profitability. Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to achieve sales, profitability and sell-thru targets. Manage and recommend merchandise replenishment and distribution strategies. Monitor and execute allocation of assortments and reorders to stores by class and by style. Recap business by classification, style, color and size and create best seller/hindsight reports. Produce weekly reports recapping sales, inventory and gross margin vs. plan and projection by department and classification. Partner with IT for business intelligence requirements and reporting needs.
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience as Associate Planner, Fashion Apparel and Accessories.
