Hair Stylist

Title of Job:  Seeking Highly Motivated and Experienced Hair Stylist

Responsibilities:

• Prepares hair for styling by analyzing hair condition; shampooing and treating hair
• Conditions hair and scalp by applying proprietary treatments
• Plans desired effect by evaluating hair and studying facial features; examining potential styles; conferring with customer; making recommendations
• Produces desired effect by arranging, shaping, curling, cutting, trimming, setting, bleaching, dyeing, and tinting hair
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards
• Maintains safe and healthy conditions by following organization standards and legal regulations.
• Obtains revenue by recording or collecting charges
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Versed in products carried by the salon

Requirements:

• An established client base is preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Understanding what sets this salon apart from the rest and acting as a true brand ambassador and extension of the brand
• Must have a valid Cosmetology license to practice in a New York salon
• 3+ years experience behind the chair
• Exceptional client service skills
• Flexible work schedule
