Title of Job: Human Resources Manager
Location: Coney Island, NY

Responsibilities:
• Lead full life cycle recruitment efforts for high volume seasonal positions and assist in hiring permanent staff
• Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying HR tools in order to maximize employees’ performance and retention, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employees’ engagement and ensure legal compliance
• Respond to HR inquiries, including but not limited to inquiries on policies, procedures, benefits and payroll in compliance with corporate polices and applicable local, state and federal laws. Assist employees with benefits and payroll related questions and concerns
• Work with the Payroll Department to monitor the administration of weekly payroll and related functions and to manage and maintain HRIS database
• Work with the HR team and department heads to develop and maintain
accurate job descriptions and organization chart
• Responsible for HR and Payroll reporting (scheduled and ad hoc)
• Implement and update employees’ handbook and forms
• Manage Workers’ Compensation, Disability and FMLA issues
• Respond to unemployment claims
• Monitor for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEOC and OSHA policies
• Coordinate with Operations Team to facilitate the J1 Visa program
• Maintain HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system
• Partner with senior management on designing and improving the training and development of permanent and seasonal staff
• Supports the facilitation of performance and development review process with managers
• Partner with the Administrative Headquarter when needed
• Perform other duties expected of the Human Resources Manager position and assist in all other operations of the park as assigned and directed by senior management
Requirements:
• Enthusiasm, energy, positive attitude

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources Management, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Bachelor’s Degree; in Human Resources/Business preferred
• SHRM – CP or PHR a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Paychex, ATS, and Time Management Systems a plus
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to HR issues
• Due to the nature of the business, must be able to work a flexible schedule during peak season which may include weekends/holidays
