Title: HR GENERALIST/MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enters all employee changes and paid time off requests in HRIS system on a weekly basis
  • Initiates all Status Change Forms and submits to Payroll on a weekly basis
  • Oversees benefits administration for the medical, dental, vision, workers’ compensation, unemployment and 401(k) programs
  • Responsible for all annual compliance requirements such as Affordable Care Act and 401(k) annual audit.
  • Responsible for full lifecycle recruitment for all roles within the corporate office and four retail store locations
  • Establish relationships with search firms, online recruitment sites and schools.
  • Create and draft all job postings in conjunction with brand standards
  • Maintain up to date job descriptions for all roles
  • Manage recruitment budget
  • Handles all employee relations for the company; provides confidential support and guidance to managers and employees
  • Provides advice and guidance with regard to legal issues to managers
  • Complies with all federal, state and local laws and ensures proper legal approvals and signs off as needed
  • Develops, maintains and communicates company policies and updates employee handbook on a continual basis. 
  • Works with managers to analyze roles responsibilities and develops comprehensive job descriptions to be used during the annual performance evaluation
  • Works with COO to align job descriptions with departmental KPIs 
  • Maintains confidential employee files
  • Partners with senior management to identify capability gaps across the organization and develop the profile for new positions
  • Develops and maintains organizational chart

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources Management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws (multiple state knowledge is a plus)
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills needed to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fashion/Retail experience
