Full cycle recruiting:

  • Develop strategies to streamline the hiring process, manage the job boards, agencies, and conduct interviews; recruit &
  • retain hires
  • Work with hiring managers to write and manage job descriptions
  • Source and attract candidates using social media, job boards and placement agencies
  • Develop and grow the team:
  • Assist with the talent review and succession planning, identifying employees ready for promotion and rotation, based on
  • discussions with managers
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs
  • Develop and maintain the culture:
  • Build, support, and embody company culture, drive employees’ sense of pride, purpose and passion; help plan events
  • (holiday parties, office events, off-sites)

Build processes:

  • Manage benefit administration (medical, dental , vision, life, disability, 401k) with input from Controller
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and on boarding
  • Facilitate and guide staff through the annual performance and salary review process, based on discussions with
  • managers
  • Track and report on employee data (e.g. vacation time, payroll data, personnel files, etc) with input from Controller
  • Manage ad hoc HR projects, as assigned
  • Ensure that HR files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and
  • procedures
  • Manage employee relations:
  • Create a safe space for employees to discuss work related issues
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers for day to day inquiries
  • Build strong relationships with the employees and Directors in assigned office


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 4-7 years of well-rounded HR Generalist experience; entertainment, media or advertising agency a plus
  • Knowledge of New York and California regulatory compliance
  • Experience with HRIS
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving, dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential matters
