We are actively seeking an experienced General Manager to build the in-store clienteling experience. The General Manager will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and training a team that is dedicated to driving the business. This role is for a highly results-oriented leader who likes fast paced and dynamic environments, and who has a proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales plans while running a tight business operation.

The General Manager role is comprised of three main areas of the business:
Sales, Service and Community Outreach
Role model aligned with the brand culture.
Treat the store like it is your own business.
Meet and exceed budgeted sales, margin and profitability goals for the store.
Review and manage expenses on a regular basis; develop and implement strategies at the store level to grow sales and minimize expenses.
Identify and implement operational efficiencies at the store level. Work smarter, not harder.
Oversee and ensure new and existing team members are well-trained and oriented; identify and make recommendations for ongoing improvements to training approach and tools.
Oversee and supervise team members and any temporary employees that may be utilized.
Ensure team has clarity around roles and responsibilities and specific duties assigned.
Foster a work environment for teamwork, productivity and be present and engaged.
Oversee store recruiting and hiring, in partnership with Operations and Assistant Managers.
Communicate and uphold company and store standards, policies and procedures. Drive the solution to streamline and enhance in store processes.
Address and resolve team members concerns and issues fairly and in a timely fashion.
Hire, coach, discipline, and terminate employees in compliance with company policies and procedures in compliance with state, federal and local law, in conjunction with Human Resources
Sales, Service and Community Outreach
Provide a memorable and service-centric in-store experience.
Instill an effective and efficient sales and service focus on the floor to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional service.
Acquire, teach and utilize in-depth knowledge of apparel each season, including fit, fabric and intended use of the line. Understand and communicate performance and functionality on and off the course.
Oversee effective product and visual merchandising in the store to drive sales and create a positive customer experience that is easy to shop and outfit head to toe.
Build and oversee clienteling program to manage, engage, and track client performance. Build programs to connect with the client on a personal level first and foremost, to build brand loyalty.
Manage in store event and CRM activity that is subliminal and focused to reward repeat business in a focused, efficient and approachable manner.
Proactive outreach to local charities, organizations and community groups to increase brand market share and proactively drive business to the store.
Oversee establishment and management of staff schedules and payroll management; ensure store hours, staff schedules and maximize employee expertise to meet the needs of the customers and the store.
Ensure completion and proper maintenance of employment-related records and files.
Oversee and perform reporting and management-related administrative tasks.
Manage inventory receiving, replenishment, transfers and returns efficiently and accurately.
Proactively lead and manage store loss prevention efforts and awareness thru clienteling, driving shrink to less than 0.5%.
Oversee execution of physical inventory at store, in partnership with Director of Retail and Finance.
Oversee and ensure all aspects of organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the store.
Honesty and integrity in all actions.
Graduation from accredited college with a Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field is preferred.
5-7+ years of Retail Managerial experience with both back office and retail floor sales experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft office and experience with Point of Sale systems and Intranet file sharing tools. Understanding of social media based communication and application based technology are plusses as well.
Excellent communication and interpersonal social skills are a must.
You will be required to stand for the majority of the workday; you will need to reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch as necessary. You will need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
