Title: Head of NY/General Manager


  • Ensuring that we exceed our sales target in territory by constantly reinforcing and driving best sales practices and proactively identifying and executing territory specific sales opportunities and initiatives
  • Ensuring that we are delivering against our margin targets from New York generated sales by working closely with Brands team to ensure we are partnering with the right and relevant brands, as well as religiously following correct sales order and purchasing processes
  • Responsible for ensuring that we are seamlessly, efficiently and scaleably sourcing and shipping product to our global client base from our NY office
  • Ensure that the our culture is developed and maintained, and all our team are happy, engaged and proud to be working for the brand.
  • Ensure that all company policies, operations and processes are correctly implemented, diligently adopted, and thoughtfully adapted for local market conditions as and when required
  • Training, supporting, managing the local team to ensure that as a New York office we are always in a position to exceed expectations
  • At all times being the voice of the NY office and at all times representing the best interests of the New York business and team
  • Complete a review of current operations and processes and make recommendations to ensure we are compliant in all areas and operating with maximum efficiency

Required Experience

  • Minimum 7 years experience in a similar management role in the fashion and luxury goods space in US market - essential
  • Familiarity with New York luxury goods market - highly desirable
  • Proven excellence as an operator and with strong operations background
  • Experience of managing sales teams - highly desirable
  • Experience of managing shipping/ logistics team, strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for building, developing and nurturing teams.
  • Well-developed and demonstrable people management skills set
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines as well as manage budgets
  • Proven ability to work efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail with prioritization that is business first
  • Aware of what is happening across the business (hero brands, key initiatives, sales reports, investments)
  • Commitment to the team and to being a team player; willingness to help where needed and support other team members and manager
  • Proactive and able to generate initiative/ideas
