Location: Nantucket, MA

Position Summary
We are looking for a highly energetic, responsible and experienced Store Manager for boutique in Nantucket for the upcoming summer. The Store Manager is responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day supervision of the boutique, including customer sales, staff, inventory and resource management. This is a critical role as the Store Manager will be both on the floor dealing with customers as well as managing the sales associates. The ideal candidate will provide an exceptional level of customer service, have deep product knowledge, provide style advice, build customer loyalty, drive sales, manage a small sales associate team and manage the day-to-day logistics of the boutique.

This position is based in Nantucket, MA and reports directly to the Chief Experience Officer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and drive sales

  • Supervise sales associates

  • Liaise with NY head office

  • Address customer queries and complaints

  • Point of contact for any customer escalations

  • Oversee inventory and stock control

  • Opening and closing the boutique

  • Provide exceptional customer experience

  • General upkeep of the store

  • Inspire customers through impressive product knowledge

  • Create a visually appealing store through merchandise presentation in adherence with company guidelines

  • Provide clients with appropriate knowledge of the Olivela charitable component to ensure customers are aware of the good their purchase is doing to educate girls around the world

  • Daily use of Point of Sale (POS) system, process payments and refunds/exchanges

  • Support with inventory management, receive and process stock, unpacking, counting, tagging as required, sizing and merchandising on the floor, with overflow product in stock room

  • Perform other ad hoc projects, duties, and assignments as required

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of retail experience with 1-2 years in a manager role

  • Previous experience with Luxury and fashion trends and overall fashions with women wear

  • Experience managing sales associates in a retail environment

  • Outstanding leadership skills

  • Able to balance the need of delivering a luxury experience, and a profitable result

  • Willing and able to be a“doer” and “influencer”

  • Solid time management organization and focus on ability to prioritize and multitask, with laser like focus to detail

  • Proven ability to sell big ticket items

  • Exhibits a positive, can do and customer first attitude

  • Knowledge of fashion trends and brands preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Love working with customers

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Holiday and weekend availability required

  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store

  • Experience cash handling and open and closing

  • Passion for fashion and designer brands

  • Creative problem solving skills

  • Assumes ownership and accountability for store operations

  • Light lifting may be required (<20lbs)

  • Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship
