Freelance Sr. Financial Analyst

Ø Become a key business partner in developing the Annual budget, Revisions to Budget, and Strategic Plans. Interact with all levels of management in completion of all budgets.
Ø Lead the development of all Annual Budgets, Re-projections and Strategic Plans. Create timeline. Create, distribute and follow up on departmental templates. Load budgets into system and summarize all budgets for review with CFO. Ensure all budget deadlines are strictly met.
Ø Ensure all departmental guidelines are communicated properly and timely.
Ø Ensure all direct responsibility budget projections are completed timely.
Ø Prepare new store projections to determine financial feasibility of projects. Summarize conclusions for review/discussion with CFO.
Ø Follow all Capex budget tracking. Work with retail teal to understand variances vs budget. Summarize all significant trends and financial exposures for review with CFO monthly.
Ø Development of sales budgets and plans by day.
Ø Analyze retail profitability by store and identify areas of improvement. Routinely update Break-even reporting.
Ø Analyze wholesale profitability by customer and identify areas for improvement.
Ø Bridge and explain any variances between the strategic plan, the annual budget and actual results.
Ø Complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting as required to track business performance across all channels.
Ø Work "on the fly" and turn-around time sensitive financial modeling results in a timely fashion.
Ø In absence of Retail Merchandise Planning, create and provide all OTB’s.
Ø Compare actual financial results to annual budget and provide explanations to Controller.
Ø Assist Controller in analysis of Gross Margin Trend (in-coming margins, landed costs, depreciation, etc). Explain trend in Margin from month to month and vs. Budget.
Ø Assist in various other aspects of the monthly closing process.
Ø Demonstrate ability to present high level information to senior executives.
Ø Maintain organized, accurate and complete records.
Ø Consistently monitor, recommend and implement improvements to current reporting methodologies and practices.
Ø Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
Ø Participate in departmental meetings.
Ø Develop trustworthy relationships with local and international colleagues.
Ø Previous experience working in the field of Accounting and/or Forecasting/Budgeting.
Ø Strong P&L knowledge.
Ø Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced MS Excel skills required.
Ø Experience with SAP REQUIRED.
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
