Luxury Lifestyle Pop Up Shop - Freelance Sales Associates
Targeted Dates: MDW opening – December
Location: East Hampton, NY

Position Summary
We are looking for a highly energetic, responsible and experienced Sales Associate for boutique in East Hampton for the upcoming summer. This is a critical role on the sales floor as he/she will be on the front line and the direct link between the company and its Customer. The ideal candidate will support with clienteling, welcome customers when they enter the shop and assist customers with seamless customer experience, exceptional product knowledge and style advice, building customer loyalty and relationship while delivering sales.

*Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer facing sales support and drive sales

  • Provide exceptional customer experience by greeting, listening and assisting customers in exceeding their needs, demonstrating an excellent knowledge of the products and fashion

  • Provide clients with appropriate product knowledge to assist with closing the sale

  • Provide clients with appropriate knowledge of the Olivela charitable component to ensure they become knowledgeable on how their purchase is supporting girls education

  • Capture pertinent client data

  • General upkeep of the store

  • Daily use of Point of Sale (POS) system, process payments and refunds/exchanges to assist customers

  • Support with inventory management, receive and process stock, unpacking, counting, tagging as required, sizing and merchandising on the floor, with overflow product in stock room

  • Perform other ad hoc projects, duties, and assignments as required*


  • 1-2 years of luxury retail experience with accurate and quick transaction handling

  • Knowledge of fashion trends and brands preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented with an energetic and positive attitude

  • Proven ability to sell big ticket items

  • Love working with customers

  • Intermediate computer skills

  • Holiday and weekend availability required

  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store

  • Transaction handling for multiple payment types including credit cards and cash

  • Passion for fashion and designer brands

  • Creative problem solving skills

  • Takes direction and responds favourably to change

  • Assumes ownership and accountability for projects

  • Light lifting may be required (<20lbs)

  • Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship
