Design and create innovative seasonal collections for high profile celebrity athletic fashion brand with emphasis in active wear and athleisure categories in partnership with CEO and Director of Marketing's visionary direction.
Involved in research and trend analysis of upcoming and current market trends in performance. Taking inspiration from runway, tear sheets and current marketplace to design compelling collection in line with competitive market strategy. Be able to incorporate innovative design concepts that help take the brand to next level.
Partner with V.P of Product Development and Production to create seasonal mood boards, source and develop fabrics, prints, trims, and silhouette across multiple seasons and product categories and all stages of the development cycle. Establish seasonal color palette. Help cultivate sustainable products aligned with brand merchandising vision.
Develop initial creative/design tech packs in partnership with tech design. Capable of high level of detail for garment construction and technical detail, to ensure best in class quality and workmanship in development stages.
Attend 1st proto fittings as needed to ensure high level design concepts are being executed.
Who you are
Degree in Fashion Design
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Apparel Design
Experience designing Performance/Athleisure
Knowledge of Garment Construction, Performance Fabrics and Trims, Wet/Digital/Sublimation Printing
Innovative thinker and high level attention to detail a must
Illustrator, Photoshop experience
