Overview: Develop and execute a product strategy that meets or exceeds financial goals for the brand. Consolidates and synthesizes information from all other areas of the business in order to inform a global strategy across the brand. 

Responsibilities:

·Assists merchandising team in developing a cohesive assortment by product category 
·Maintains product brief data integrity to ensure clear communication to design and production 
·Supports the assorting of at least one classification of the business, ensuring work meets global needs and vision 
·Researches and communicates shifts in the competitive market through trends, pricing, and emerging product categories 
·Gains a strong understanding of the Brand customer and his/ her needs 
·Observes the relationship between merch, design, and production to learn how to create a collaborative working environment 
·Strengthens financial acumen to better react to business needs 
·Learns how to meet IMU goals while maintaining brand desirability 
·Participates in daily fittings to ensure product meets customers’ needs 
·Presents at least one classification to buying and sales team 
·Owns sample management for key meetings 
·Owns all product tools to ensure a strong understanding of the line 
·Disseminates all product changes to key partners 
·Owns all global product training guides 
·Maintains data integrity in GFE and other assortment related systems and documents 
·Establishes cross-functional relationships to promote best practices and process adherence; fosters teamwork 
-Work with merchandising team to ensure that all site QA call-outs are executed efficiently and submit/manage/close Issue Tracks as needed in regards to these issues. 

Skills & Knowledge:

-At least one-three years retail merchandising or buying experience 
-Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word 
-Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment 
-Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written 
-Excellent time management/project skills 
-Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail 
-Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands 
-Comfortable and confident in making effective autonomous (and group) decisions in a timely manner 
-Goal orientated: ability to stay focused on creating winning results 
-Ability to select product according to design direction 
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
-Proven ability to manage projects independently and to work as part of a team
