Overview:

Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs educational strategies for education initiatives including strategic education plans which outline the target audience, training needs, training methods, content development approach, implementation and training evaluation;
  • Supports continual review and process/program improvements in Education;
  • Oversees and manages team of three Regional Education Managers;
  • Responsible for the development and growth of high and top priority distributor partners;
  • Responsible for the recruiting, training and development of Educators;
  • Responsible for facilitating local trainings of DSC’s, distributor Educators, Store Employees and salons;
  • Works closely with Regional Brand Managers and Regional Education Managers in the planning of educational programs to meet salon need, objectives and support new product launches within their territory;
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing all programs within a designated territory (i.e., local education events, programs and special events);
  • Responsible for working with the Regional Brand Managers on selling in and selling through of products from the distributor’s central warehouse and creating education programs that support;
  • Supports Education Development Manager with crucial feedback from field activity that will aid in continued development and revision of content-specific educational programs;
  • Participates in distributor shows and programs as directed;
  • Manages educational budgets;
  • Full comprehension of the brand Education;
  • Full comprehension of the the brand's Business Platforms and resources;
  • Ability to facilitate Mastery Level classes, if applicable;
  • Simultaneously manages multiple projects and assignments of various scales;
  • Ability to coach, train, evaluate and discipline employees when necessary;
  • Manages the application of department and team standards to maintain consistency of education development and execution;
  • Follow company policies in regards to OSHA;
  • Any others the Employer may consider essential in ensuring the normal operations of the Employer’s business processes and that falls into the category of expertise of the Employee;
  • Special projects.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Cosmetology License preferred;
  • 3-5 years of progressive education experience;
  • 2 years education planning experience, an asset;
  • Full understanding of effective education and training program practices with knowledge of competitive product/markets along with best sales practices;
  • Maintains a professional and confident demeanor, and exhibits patience when face with reluctance;
  • Ability to analyze the business and identify new functional growth opportunities;
  • Possess strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage + motivate the team;
  • Skilled successfully organizing, prioritizing and managing multiple projects;
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment while being adaptable to change;
  • Ability to travel and work weekends required;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of a second language, an asset.
