Line Builder collaborates with the Brand Builder and follows their lead in helping accomplish Company’s Mission, by developing product for a brand that is:


  • Designed in alignment with the brand’s identity
  • Priced appropriate to the customers’ needs
  • Made accurately using clear & effective communication
  • Developed in a timely manner
  • Using least amount of effort and resources
  • Using shortest, most streamlined processes on NY side, as well as China side
  • Able to be mass produced without technical issues
  • Kid-friendly and safe
  • Have a perceived value for the end customer that is higher than its retail value, so we continue to have repeat customers
  • Line Builder assists the Brand Builder in managing brands and retail accounts
  • Help Brand Builder merchandise the line based on customers’ price points and merchandising strategy
  • Take detailed notes in meetings, or work off meeting notes and request product from overseas using that direction
  • Communicate regularly with overseas on different aspects of product development process
  • Maintain dashboards to ensure all sample requests are shipped/satisfied in a timely manner
  • Help Brand Builder build on past sales to retain and increases existing business
  • Creating cads
  • Entering worksheets in Sneakernet
  • Reviewing samples for accuracy
  • Reviewing and correcting pullovers via photo/skype or both
  • Keep costing of specific materials in mind
  • Source materials and components
  • Know duty, construction and legal parameters
  • Work closely with Brand Builder and Sales to ensure all requests are met
  • Entering data in PE
  • Trend shopping with Brand Builder and/or Sales as needed

Requirements: 3-5 years of experience, Adobe Illustrator, Footwear a plus not a must
