Location: Atlanta, GA
?Develop, execute, and communicate strategic merchandise financial plans that support the companys financial sales, product, inventory and marketing objectives. Drive top line financial plans from a divisional level to a department/category level.
?Twice a year, lead the Buyers and Planners through the seasonal buy process and pre-season planning. Ensure that the buy supports the financial budget. Shift financials goals among SBUs accounting for initiatives.
?Strategically manage the in-season business in order to maximize sales, margin realization, and inventory (tops down and bottoms up). Manage weekly business reviews by validating markdowns align to financial objectives.
?Manage monthly OTB process. Adjust top line financial flash as needed.
?Develop and contribute to the generation of Brand initiatives, and ensure that all planning activities support annual goals. Recommend seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales, profitability and customer expectations.
?Develop analytical methods to hindsight and report monthly status and action updates. Assist functional leaders to develop regular business updates for executive team.
?Collaborate with the leaders of all functional areas (GMMs, VPs of Planning and Allocation, VP Store Operations, VP Finance, VP Business Process, VP Marketing) to inform and assist them in analyzing complex business issues, developing hypotheses, and driving incremental sales and margin while maximizing in-stock inventory position.
?Lead the development and continuous evolution of retail processes related to assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and category planning.
?Continuously improve the planning merchandising processes, including managing the implementation of new systems. Develop long term systemic enhancements to support efficiencies in executing strategies.
?Establish high performing team with analytical excellence by coaching and developing direct reports to exceed financial targets.
?Provide ad hoc analytical support to other functional areas of the business
?Hire and develop exceptional talent in the areas of planning and allocations
6-8 years of financial planning, merchandise planning, allocations, operations, retail
Bachelors degree required
Knowledge of Financial planning, merchandise planning, allocations, operations, retail
Planning principles, financial budgeting, retail fundamentals, project management, ad hoc reporting and analysis
Strong analytical skills, proficient with planning systems (e.g. JDA), proficient with Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strategic forecasting ideally for a specialty business
Influencing and negotiating at a variety of levels
Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into trends
Able to Manage team of analytical people, work cross-functionally with GMM, DMMs, Finance, Operations and Marketing
Salary: Commensurate with experience
